Gutters in Upstate South Carolina

Gutters and downspouts, from the family that started as Cannady's Siding & Gutters.

Gutters have been part of our name since 1992. Good gutters protect your siding, foundation and landscaping from every Upstate downpour.

The short answer

Cannady Construction is a family-owned gutter contractor based in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. We install and replace gutters and downspouts on homes across Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Pickens and Laurens counties.

We take down old or failing gutters, replace the fascia board behind them when it's rotten, and hang new gutters and downspouts sized and pitched to carry water away from the house.

When you call, you talk to an owner. We come out, look at where the water goes now, and give you a free estimate.

What we install

Gutters, downspouts and what goes with them

The right setup depends on your roof, how much water it sheds and where that water needs to go.

Gutters

Gutters along the roof edges, sized for your roof and pitched so water runs to the downspouts instead of sitting.

Downspouts and extensions

Downspouts placed where they carry the most water, with extensions or splash blocks to move it away from the foundation.

Larger gutters for big roofs

Steep roofs, big roofs and long runs can overflow standard gutters. Larger gutters and downspouts carry more water.

Gutter guards

Covers that keep leaves and pine needles out, so the gutters need cleaning less often.

Fascia repair

Rotten fascia boards behind old gutters are common. We replace them so the new gutters hang solid.

Colors

Gutter colors to match or set off your trim, roof and siding.

When to replace

Signs your gutters aren't working

  • Water spilling over the gutters in heavy rain
  • Gutters sagging or pulling away from the house
  • Leaking seams or corners
  • Puddles or washed-out soil next to the foundation
  • Peeling paint, stains or rot on the fascia and siding below
  • Water in the crawlspace or basement

If you're not sure, call us. Sometimes one downspout in the wrong place is the whole problem.

Cost

What affects the price of new gutters

Every house is different, so we price each job after we see it. These are the things that move the number most.

Length

Gutters are priced by the foot, plus each downspout.

Height

Two- and three-story homes take more ladder work and safety equipment.

Gutter guards

Adding guards raises the price but cuts down on cleaning.

Removal and repair

Taking down old gutters and replacing rotten fascia adds to the job.

Questions

Gutter questions we hear most

Do you install seamless gutters?

Owners to confirm

Are gutter guards worth it?

If you have trees near the house, guards can save a lot of cleaning and keep the gutters from overflowing. They still need an occasional check. We'll tell you whether they make sense for your house.

How often should gutters be cleaned?

Most Upstate homes need it twice a year: in late spring after the pollen and seeds, and in late fall after the leaves. Homes under pines or oaks may need it more often.

Can you replace gutters with a new roof or siding?

Yes. Doing roofing or siding and gutters together means one crew and one schedule, and everything matches.

What areas do you serve?

Anderson, Belton, Clemson, Clinton, Easley, Fountain Inn, Greenville, Greer, Lake Keowee, Laurens, Mauldin, Pendleton, Pickens, Simpsonville, Spartanburg and Travelers Rest. If your town is nearby and not listed, call us.

Are estimates free?

Yes. We come out, look at the job and give you a price at no cost.
